Position Overview

Community Partners of Dallas is seeking a passionate and experienced Development Manager to join our Development and Communications team. The Development Manager will oversee annual membership drives and year-round engagement for the agency’s women’s auxiliary group, the Partnership (450+ annual members), and yCPD, CPD’s young professional group. The Development Manager will also lead agency participation in North Texas Giving Day, drive the end of year giving campaign, focus on donor appreciation, pursue new funding opportunities, serve as third-party event lead, and spearhead the planning and execution of ancillary fundraising and cultivation events/campaigns supporting Community Partners of Dallas’ mission. This position reports to the Vice President of Development & Communications.

Responsibilities

Membership Drives and Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to recruit, retain, and engage members of the Partnership and yCPD, ensuring alignment with CPD’s mission and strategic goals.

Giving Campaigns: Develop and implement strategy to engage donors in North Texas Giving Day and end of year giving campaign.

Donor Appreciation: Design and execute initiatives to cultivate and steward relationships with donors, ensuring timely and meaningful appreciation and recognition.

New Funding Opportunities: Research, identify, and pursue new funding sources and partnerships to support CPD’s programs and initiatives.

Third-Party Events: Serve as the primary liaison and coordinator for third-party fundraising events benefiting CPD, providing guidance, support, and ensuring alignment with organizational standards.

Event Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of ancillary fundraising and cultivation events/campaigns, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to maximize participation and success of fundraising initiatives.

Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for membership drives, events, and initiatives, ensuring financial objectives are met.

Teamwork: Collaborate agency-wide to maintain positive work culture and influence overall success through fundraising, volunteerism, and programs.

Qualifications

– 3+ years of proven experience in nonprofit development, with a focus on membership drives, annual programs, donor relations, and event management.
– Strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices, including donor cultivation and stewardship.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
– Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management abilities.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
– Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, marketing, or related field (preferred).
