Easter Basket Drive

Each year it is our goal to serve over 1,000 neglected and abused children by providing them with the joy of having a special Easter Basket made just for them. The Community Partners of Dallas Easter Basket Drive serves children from the birth to 17 years old.

You can help in several ways:

• Making and donating Easter Baskets 
• Donating items to go in the baskets
• Making a monetary donation to Community Partners of Dallas designated for Easter Baskets
• Volunteer

If you would like to make Easter Baskets to Donate, here is a recipe and some ideas. All baskets should be age and gender appropriate.

A Great Basket Includes:

• One basket or plastic bucket
• Easter grass
• 5 filled plastic eggs
• Wrapped candy
• One age appropriate item
• Small stuffed animal or book
• Baskets should be wrapped in cellophane

Ideas for Age Appropriate Items:

Crayons and coloring book, small cars, arts and crafts kits, side walk chalk, jewelry, gift cards, makeup, purses, manicure sets, jewelry, body sprays, combs & bushes, small walkmans or CD players, watches, jump ropes, bubbles, bottles and blankets, dress up items, small games or flash cards, decks of cards, CD of popular music, sports balls, etc.

This is a great project for kids of all ages to particpate in- get a group of friends, co-workers, church members or even scouts together to make baskets as a fun and meaningful way to help others.
