Back to School Intern

Application deadline April 17th

  This internship is made possible by the generosity of the
  ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program.


The Community Partners of Dallas Back-to-School Intern will manage a community-wide school supply drive to provide more than 3,000 children in the care of Dallas County Child Protective Services with brand new school supplies and uniforms so they can begin the school year with dignity and self-esteem.

• Processing donations
• Work with corporate donors and board members to coordinate collections and distribution of supplies
• Managing volunteers
• Budgeting
• Inventory
• Intern is responsible for all aspect of drive from beginning to end

• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Full-time (at least 12 hours) undergraduate student returning to school in the Fall

General Information
• Internship Dates: June 19, 2017 – August 11, 2017
• 35 hours per week
• $2,750 salary

Development Assistant

Community Partners of Dallas is hiring a Development Assistant to support four team members. Position responsibilities will include heavy database management (Raiser’s Edge), grants, drive support and donor relations. Additional projects will include but not be limited to coordination of major mailings, event support and working directly with our young friends group, yCPD.

The position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, great attention to detail and will be filled by a team player. Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency. Entry level position, bachelor’s degree required, database experience preferred.
